It’s hard to decide what I love most about my job. First of all, the flexibility is incredible. As a parent and a military spouse, my responsibilities often necessitate flexibility in my work schedule. In a typical job, a sick child, family event, or unexpected emergency could be problematic for getting the time off. As a contractor, I am in control of my schedule. While there is a tradeoff (time off is not paid,) the control I have over my own time is invaluable. I am able to manage my own schedule, shifting and rescheduling clients with my own calendar in mind. It is wonderful to have control over my days.

All I have to focus on is working with my clients.  The Scheduling Team fields calls from potential clients and screens them to assign them to an appropriate therapist and schedule intakes. I have already provided them with a list of my age groups and specialties. Once the client is scheduled with me, I complete my intake, develop a treatment plan, provide treatment, and complete my notes. I don’t have to worry about billing or insurance authorizations. I am able to focus on the part of being a therapist that I really enjoy, which is connecting with and supporting my clients.

Speaking of support, I have an incredible team available for support whenever I need it. While most of them work behind the scenes in ways I don’t need to be involved in, if I have a question or concern, they are eager to answer or help me resolve any issues that arise. This could range from a question about a client’s insurance copay or changing plan, to a maintenance concern in my office. Everything is addressed promptly and with a smile.

I am able to make a good income.  The way CCS works is what makes all the above support possible, allowing me to focus on the clinical aspects of being an outpatient therapist. Payment is transparent and clear, so that I can always feel confident I am being fairly reimbursed for my time. If payment discrepancies arise, again, my amazing team handles everything with the insurance companies, ensuring that the kinks are ironed out. I am often none the wiser! In the end I make a lucrative income working hours that work for me, doing something that I love.
