Some of you may already know, and for others, this may be new news, just this past year (2025), Carolina Counseling Services began contracting with psychiatric medication management prescribers to provide medication management for our clients.
Why? Because for years, CCS has been known for what we do best, warm, engaging, and highly qualified therapists who connect with clients on a personal level. That’s our bread and butter.
But what we’ve noticed over the years is that when referring our clients out for medication management services, too many times, those experiences left them feeling unheard, rushed, or even dismissed.
Medication is often an instrumental part of treatment, but the prescriber relationship can make all the difference. So, we decided to take action.
Why We Brought Prescribers Into CCS
We wanted to ensure that when our clients needed psychiatry services, they received care from prescribers who see them as a whole person, not just a diagnosis.

Listening and collaboration. You have a voice in the room when it comes to your treatment and medications.

Consistency and documentation. When you return, they know who you are, what’s working, and where adjustments are needed.

Collaboration with therapists. If you don’t have a therapist, our prescribers provide additional support or if you do, they partner with your therapist for the best outcomes.
