Your mental health is just as important as everyone else’s. As therapists, we tend to focus on the needs of others and sometimes overextend ourselves. We KNOW that our mental health and wellness is important, though we don’t always practice what we preach. While it may be easy to beat yourself up over your lack of self-care, this is unlikely to be productive. Prioritizing your mental health is essential, let’s explore how you can assess where you’re at and make improvements where necessary.
